Vastori is committed to fair wages, safe working conditions, and long-term relationships with the people who make our clothes. We will not claim to be perfect — only honest about what we do, and committed to doing more.
Wages
We pay our partners above the minimum wage prevailing in their region. We pay on time. We pay in full, not in instalments contingent on sale.
Working conditions
The units we work with are family-scale (under 30 people). Adequate ventilation, daytime hours only, no children, paid leave, weekly off. We visit at least once a season.
Environment
Only natural fibres. No polyester or viscose. We dye in small batches with mostly low-impact reactive dyes. We do not over-produce — most pieces are made to limited runs of 30 to 80.
What we are still working on
Packaging — we currently use recycled poly mailers. We are testing GOTS-certified cotton mailers for FY26. Transport — most of our domestic shipping is air-freight (Shiprocket courier). We are reviewing surface options for non-urgent orders.
