Vastori is the work of a handful of small partners — and we want to name them properly. This page will fill in over time as we photograph and write about each unit. For now, where what you wear comes from.
Stitching unit, South Delhi
A small family-run cutting and stitching unit. They make almost everything you see — the dresses, co-ords, wraps. Around 12 people. We visit each month.
Linen mill, Tamil Nadu
An old-cycle mill in Erode that has been weaving linen for three generations. They mill our linen yardage to specification.
Mulmul weavers, West Bengal
A handloom co-operative in Phulia. Around 40 weavers between three villages. They weave our finest mulmul on traditional pit looms.
Khadi co-operative, Gujarat
A khadi co-operative in Bhuj that has been hand-spinning and hand-weaving since the 1970s. Our wrap dresses begin here.
