Vastori is small. Every piece passes through hands we know — looms in Andhra, mulmul weavers in West Bengal, tailors in a Delhi unit run by a family we visit each season. We do not see scale as the goal. We see slowness, and care, and getting the seam straight.
Small runs, named makers
Each collection is cut in batches of 30 to 80 pieces. We do not pre-buy thousands of metres of fabric or run continuous production. When a piece sells out, we either remake it (slowly) or retire the design.
How we choose fabrics
We use only natural fibres — linen, cotton, mulmul, khadi, silk-cotton blends. We source from mills and weavers we have visited. We do not use polyester, viscose, or anything that does not soften with wear.
The finishing
Buttons sewn on by hand. French seams on the inside of dresses. Side seam pockets where they make sense. Hems weighted, not glued. We do not cut corners that you would feel later.
